Rest in pieces my trusty acoustic guitar...

So I own 4 guitars (or did). I recently bought a sweet ass 60th anniversary mexican made stratocaster (a birthday gift to myself), a les paul knock off, my first guitar (a cheap strat copy) and a Canadian made Norman acoustic guitar that I got several years from an insurance settlement following a flood in our basement.

Now for the last few months I have been restricted to keep all but on in their cases as I only had one complete guitar stand (lost pieces to my other one in the last move). So for Christmas my folks gave my a triple guitar stand so I could keep my electrics together and have the acoustic on the other one.

I set it up last night and it looked like it would work pretty well. However I woke up somewhat messed up this (rough night, didn't sleep too well) and decided to check email on my desktop next to where I had my acoustic guitar. I prop my feet up on the desk and when I went to get up from the chair, in one fluid motion, my feet hit the guitar and knocked it hard to the floor. It scarded the crap out of me and in my groggy state, I simply grabbed the guitar, propped it back in the stand and went about my business; almost willing it to be okay.

But that was not to be. When I finally got around to examining it tonight, I found it the headstock was pretty well smashed...

Well I guess now I have no choice: time to buy a Martin...

Why XM is better than Sirius: Reason #53

They are broadcasting all of Canada's games at the world juniors! Listened to them beat Sweden 2-0 yesterday and got caught up on the score versus the US today when I got off work.

Quality.

Another Boxing Day here and gone...

It seems like Boxing Day has become travelling day. This is the second year in a row that I have had to travel back to my place of residence so I can open the store on the 27th and cut the ol holidays short.

It was quality times but as always not nearly long enough. I had a funny moment last night with my Mom: She tried to watch Family Guy with me. It lasted all of five minutes until Quagmire asked a couple of lesbians if they had ever been penetrated...

Also, tried playing Scene IT with Stephanie and Shana and Joe tonight. It became quite apparent very quickly that I am a very big geek and have seen WAY too many movies!

Nothing says Christmas like basketball...

D-wade and Kobe, who ya get? Personally I'd take Lebron but I digress...

Counting down til turkey...

Ah Christmas day, there's no better day to recover from a hangover. Too much rum and Nintendo Wii last night...

yeah well...

So it's not even really worth trying to explain the nearly two year gap between postings. Heck, I'm just impressed that it's all still up and running! It seems impossible for me to maintain a blog for any more than a month. Why that is, I'll never know but I suppose that admitting you have a problem is the first step to fixing that (yeah, I know it's a stretch and probably inappropriate - don't judge me!).

Anyway, it's the holidays and I'm in the middle of a good bender, with lots of drink and funny times with the fellas. Sang Karaokee in the wee hours this morning with Mike and Luke long after everyone left the room - classic. But the ulitmate laugh so far has been spending more than an hour in Mic Mac Mall with the word "vagina" written on a large piece of tape stuck to my leg. I passed out early the night before and forgot that the boys, in addition to the large penis drawn on my face (thanks Sask), had the foresight to put tape my leg - very original and very funny. I couldn't even get mad, it was too funny.

Anyway, lets try this again...
